Do You Know Where You Will Go After Death?
It is the most important question one can answer.
Every person has sinned and fallen short of God’s perfect standard. No amount of good works, religion, or personal effort can remove our sin or make us right with God.
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.
(Romans 3:23)
Because of sin, mankind faces spiritual death — eternal separation from God in a real place called Hell.
For the wages of sin is death…
(Romans 6:23)
And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
(Revelation 20:14)
God demonstrated His love by sending Jesus Christ to die in our place. Though we were sinners, Christ willingly paid the penalty we deserved.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
(Romans 5:8)
Eternal life is not earned — it is God’s free gift. Salvation comes through trusting Jesus Christ alone as Savior, not through works or personal merit.
...But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23)
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Romans 10:13
Salvation comes when a person believes in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the heart and places their faith in Him as the only Savior.
I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved...that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.
(1 Corinthians 15:1-4)
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
(Romans 10:9–10)
You can express your belief on Jesus by calling on Him in prayer. Salvation comes through faith in Christ, not merely by repeating words.
“Dear Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I believe that you died on the cross and paid the penalty for my sin. I believe that you rose from the dead three days later. I am placing my faith in you alone to forgive my sin and save me. Thank you for giving me eternal life, in Jesus’ name, Amen.”
